Hi there! I’m DeAnne Pearson, a business professional dedicated to delivering marketing messages that are informative, entertaining, and always in season.
The following portfolio relays details of my education and career thus far.
You may discover I'm exactly what your company's been looking for.
Please read with caution.
Grand Valley State University was at the top of my list when considering what college to attend. The small class sizes, reputable business programs, and proximity to Grand Rapids piqued my interest.
During my senior year, I joined the American Marketing Association and, as part of the Seidman Mentorship Program, mentored an international student through his first year at university.
Through hard work, dedication, and the occasional energy drink, I graduated with honors from Seidman College of Business, earning my bachelor's degree in marketing.
While attending university, I began working as a Digital Marketing Intern at Deksia, a full-service marketing agency in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Throughout the four-month internship, my day-to-day tasks included:
Reporting on the success of campaigns created through Instagram, Facebook, and Google Ads
Developing search-engine-optimized ads for clients using Google Suite to generate new leads
Creating internal and external links on clients' blog posts through WordPress
Tracking and determining the viability of customer leads with the CallRail software
Using Meta Business Suite to moderate comments and answer questions about each client
Three days after graduating from Grand Valley State University, I began my career as the Marketing & Communications Coordinator at Fulton Street Market, the oldest farmers market in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
In my role, I took on various responsibilities, which include but are not limited to:
Promoting daily farmers markets and special events in real-time to an online community of over sixty thousand followers
Designing marketing materials, including graphics, posters, annual reports, and banners, utilizing Canva and Adobe Illustrator
Building the Market's website using Squarespace and coding as needed
Photographing customers, vendors, and their products for the Market's Instagram, Facebook, and website
Assisting in the execution of events consisting of over one hundred vendors
I invite you to explore my professional journey and the skills I've developed along the way. You can view my detailed resume, check out a few exciting projects, or read insightful testimonials from a former colleague and employer — they said all good things, I promise.
